We can provide innovative engineered solutions for motion control applications, either by configuring our existing product or modifying or developing new product depending on the project complexity and volumes. The following represents some of the solutions we've provided:
CASE STUDY 1
Challenge: The customer required opto-isolated inputs for control purposes with an M8 three-position electrical connection for input and custom labeling.
Solution :Automation Controls Group provided a semi-custom control circuit with the required features and custom product labeling. The proposed solution required limited non-recurring engineering and tooling expenses and was done in short turnaround time. Production pricing was cost effective.

CASE STUDY 2
Challenge: A customer required a motor control that could adjust very rapid response to changes in load in order to maintain constant speed. They also needed a rigid coupling between the motor shaft and the drive mechanism.
Solution :Automation Controls Group provided controls with custom programing for very high gain and a stiff response to speed changes. This was paired with a motor with a custom shaft with a keyway for connection to the drive mechanism. The proposed solution required limited non-recurring engineering and tooling expenses and was done in short turnaround time. Production pricing was cost effective.

CASE STUDY 3
Challenge: A customer required a simultaneous, remote speed control for multiple motors in a system.
Solution : Automation Controls Group provided a semi-custom control with one unused output converted to an analog (0-10V) input for simple remote adjustment of motor operating speeds. The proposed solution required limited non-recurring engineering and tooling expenses.

CASE STUDY 4
Challenge: A customer required a motor for operation at -20°F.
Solution : Automation Controls Group provided a motor with special low-temperature bearing lubricant. There was zero non-recurring engineering cost and zero tooling cost.
|
CASE STUDY 5
Challenge: A customer required a water resistant (not water-proof) motor.
Solution : Automation Controls Group provided a non-standard stainless steel shaft with a custom shaft seal. Sealant was applied at the motor housing junctions. Non-recurring engineering and tooling costs amortized over annual requirements.
